Mustard Nut Crumb Crusted Pork Steak
It has been a wet and chilly start to our summer this year in Boise, but the grill is ready to go! Try this different cut of meat (not our usual chop) and enjoy these fabulous gluten free Nut Crumbs that are an alternative to bread coatings as the crusted coating, without frying!! Strawberry salad with the Walnut Vinaigrette we shared below is the healthy side to make this home cooked meal feel a restaurant gourmet!
Sounds pretty boring by itself but this flavor packing dressing and marinade add just the right touch to strawberry salad and pork to elevate your cooking to gourmet! Strawberry salad is the favorite for this dressing because walnuts and strawberries are so fantastic together. But honestly, anything you like walnuts with, add this gem to it and prepare to be wowed!
Can you tell we have a little bit of salt and lime on the mind? it's 5 o=clock somewhere!! Our salsa recipe was focused on the mango but these add the lime finish to a great meal These are so refreshing and fun to get the party started or the dinner party ended. Italians are great at cleansing the palate and this is easily achieved with these cookies.
May has the prettiest flowers and some of the best tasting tropical fruits. Mango are one of them. Try this easy recipe for a change to your pico de gallo routine. Jazz up those pork chops or chicken as you get re-aquainted with grilling everynight.
Lemon Spaghetti with Shrimp
Here is an easy and flavor versatile recipe that is easily ready in 30 minutes. Lemon is our favorite so we featured it here but garlic, basil and Milanese Gremolata can switch it up. Add some capers and you are close to a piccata.
The Odd Couple
For those fans of Olivin who have not tried a drizzle of our fantastic balsamic vinegar on their ice cream yet....here you go. This recipe will get you started. And, who knows, you may even start speaking Italian after devouring this luscious treat. Delicioso!
Grapefruit and Shrimp Salad
Don't forget the avocado for this one. Grapefruit is seasonal in the winter for us Northerners but avocados can be hit or miss in the winter. I saw that avocados were on sale the other day and so this week we are eating quite a few! One of my go to salads is this one. It is a great tasting, healthy solution to eating lighter. It is the best with ripe avocados and for those not so hip on seafood, substitute chicken. When the avocados are ripe but the grapefruit is not in season, utilize the jarred grapefruit. Win Win!
Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp
These are great for entertaining, romantic dinners for two and a great way to keep kids interested in healthy and fun eating experiences. They can even help load the skewer!
Roasted Veges with Maple Balsamic glaze
November is here and we just "fell back" on time which means darkness at the dinner hour. Nothing combats this change to long winter nights better than favorite comfort food that is easy to prepare and
the leftovers make great lunches to take to work. This side dish complements many main coarses but can be eaten all on it's own. Kind of a winter salad! Enjoy!!
Herbes de Provence and Dijon Roasted Chicken
I can't believe we don't have much on this site with this fantastic olive oil. This should be a staple in all pantries since it has a great combination of herbs that enhance just about everything. Maybe not cake, but I do love Rosemary in my olive oil cake so, we may get there yet! All of us have comfort food and this is a great recipe to memorize for last minute dinner or when trying to impress dinner guests. It is simple yet fancy enough to serve for special occasions. And the left overs will be taken to re-heat at work. Herbes de Provence is such a versatile oil.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
